This fish was caught filming our second halloween flathead video for the B.O.C. hoosierpolecat and I set out at mid-morning and fished at the head of a bend hole just down from where we put in. We fished the front and core of the bend hole with no results so we dropped back to the tail end of the hole where polecat proceeded to spank me 4 fish to zip. My clicker finally started to run and he was on. The fish was weighed and released as you can see in the video section.

For nearly 14 years my buddies and I have fished a hole on the Wabash River. At the head of the hole there is a massive logjam followed by an extensive shallow run at the tail. The hole is only 10 feet deep which is one of the deepest holes in this section for several miles up or down river. It can be very challenging, and even impossible, to reach the hole with anything other than a canoe; which is what we were fishing from this particular night. The fish was caught in the shallow run at the tail of the hole. My Penn clicker started one of those slow but steady and powerful pulls. Upon hook set, the fish thrashed in the run and then freight-trained for deeper water. After nearly tipping the canoe a few times, we netting the fish. It was released after photos.

I was at the Indiana gathering and after the Sat. meal we all headed out for a night of fishing. I was trying to drift fish an outside bend and couldn't fish the spot that I wanted so I was headed back to the dock to go down river about 20 miles. For some reasen I stopped by this spot and ran the fishfinder over it and saw some fish stacked in there. On the first drift I landed a 10 to 15 lb. blue. About 10 min after that fish the rod loaded up and the fight was on with this hawg!

I was fishing an ACATS Tournament out of Madison In. March 1,2008 with partner Buddy Scott. We had caught a blue and a channel cat earlier.  Then at 11:45 I had two rods go down at once. The first fish weighed 36.7#.  The next one was this 54.2# blue. I caught one more blue in the high teens and had a total weight in 4 blues of 122.8 #. We won first place and big fish in the tournament. We had a good day fishing and a lot of fun ! Love catching those BIG BLUES !!!

Was supposed to fish a tournament out of Madison ,In. but it was canceled due to high water Mike Parr and I went up river above Markland dam and fished in close out of heavy current. What a fun day ,we caught 23 channels and 21 flatheads biggest being the 12.4# channel I am entering in the hall of fame flatheads from 5 to 10 # nothing big but lots of fun,all fish were all realesed to grow bigger and fight another day.

Walt Vinson (Enfausen) and I were fishing in a eddie hole about 35 feet deep. I was baiting my third rod when my clicker started screaming. After setting the hook and a short fight I landed this 9 pound channel. This is my new PB Channel.
