Fish Tale of the Catch:
It was a rainy and dark tuesday night. The time was 10:30 pm.I was siting in my chair and noticed that my rod was bouncing as I could see the glow stick very good. I was about 100 yards from this rod. I ran the 100 yards and the fish was bending the rod and taking line off of the spinning reel. I had the drag set loose . I took the rod and tightened up the drag and set the hook. The battle took about 15 or 20 minutes. The fish was netted and weighed by Griz. The fish was video taped and pictures were taken by lilgriz. The fish weighed 67.2 lbs and was quickly released. The fish was caught on a live bluegill fished on the bottom in about 4-6 feet of water.

Fish Tale of the Catch:
It took me about 2 hrs. to try and catch some descent shad to fish with. I had marked this place a while back and decided to give it a shot. After going over it I thought "This doesn't look very good." So I took 2 3" shad and cut them in half to put on the hook. I sat there about 20 min. and he hit the inside rod. It was the only fish I caught that day.

Fish Tale of the Catch:
Me and best friend Shane Williams had planned a weekend outing on the Mighty Mississippi. We usually try to plan our spots and stragies to allow for the best fishing spots and not spend to much time on one spot. This particular day was just an awesome day for nice fish. We started the day with a few 40lb blues before moving to an outside bend on the big river. After finding what looked like to be an awesome drop from the bank we decided to anchor and give this particular spot a good shot. Within 5 minutes of anchoring my outside pole started the traditional flathead motions. After the fish committed and I reeled the fish in we got a decent yellowcat(for us Ky folks) of 18lbs. After admiring the beautiful flathead we released him and I recast my pole to the same exact spot. Within another 5 minutes at the most, the same pole started the same motions. The ole yellow decided he wanted my herring and took the pole down ever so easily. The fight was on, getting the fish to the top took several minutes but getting the fish to the boat in 16ounce current was the real trick. After working the fish for about 10 or so minutes we finally got the fish to the side of the boat. At first I believed the fish to weigh around 40lbs but after getting the fish in the net we both knew we had ourselves a real dandy. I still to this day am amazed at the flathead catfishes size. After weighing the fish at 52lbs we took several pics and had several high fives. We released the big yellow back into the mighty muddy to fight another day and another time. Seeing the fish swim off was as much fun as actually catching it. Preserving our big fish is a great concern to both of us and should be for everybody.

Fish Tale of the Catch:
The fishing was slow that day and all I had gotten was a few taps every once in a while. I was getting hungry and decided that the next place I stopped to fish I would also eat. Got the rods out and took one bite of my sandwich and the outside rod went down. Grabbed it and was bringing it in when I looked over and my inside rod went down. Grabbed that rod, set the hook, and with a rod in both hands I decided which one was the biggest and put the other rod down. Got big boy in and grabbed the other rod. Got that fish in and it weighed 26 lbs.

Fish Tale of the Catch:
Was fishing the Ohio River out of Henderson, Kentucky. I had found four large arches sitting in behind a tree stump in 42 foot of water, water Temp was right at 42o. Set up rods and about 20 minutes rod went down and had this 75+ pound blue catfish on. To date it's my personal best for a blue cat.

Fish Tale of the Catch:
Mike (Ruger 454) and I were fishing a three boat tournament. We setup on a barge blowout in 40 feet of water. I was running 6 rods and Mike was running five. We had just gotten setup and one of the outside rods went down easy. I picked it up and felt the rod loading and set the hook. The fish ran the entire length of a long cast upriver and right back to the boat. That is when the fun began. He then tried to dive and go upriver. I was having a time with him on 30 pound mono, but was trying to horse him just a bit to rush the landing. Sometimes the bigguns will keep pulling until they wallow the hook and throw it. Mike was ready with the net and he got the first look at the fish out of the back of the boat. He said it was big. When I saw the fish I said that we had too small of a net and would have to lip him. After a bit of fighting and wearing the fish down Mike got a hand on him and I threw the rod down to help him slide him over the side. We got ten more fish that day and won the tournament with flying colors with a five fish creel totalling 114 pounds.

The first Channel I caught was a pound or so. My clicker went crazy and I thought I had at least a 10-12#er on. I got him to the wall and Danny(Firechief4201)netted him for me. It turned out to be a 7.7lb Channel full of fight!!!
