Fishing off of a 25 foot ledge, that quickly dropped down to about 5 ft. The flathead took the bluegill at about 3:00 AM and the fight lasted about 30 minutes, maybe a little less. Real fun fish to catch. Took some photos and released him to fight another day. |

I was trying out a new spot at Salt Fork, and decided to try a different method of using bullheads as bait. (Every time I use them on bottom rigs they seem to bury in the mud) So I rigged one up by hooking him through the lip and casted him out. I had my other rod set with a bottom rig and goldfish. I caught one about 26# at 11.30pm or so After about an hour I noticed my bobber with its glow stick seeming to drift waaaaay out but not going under so I decided to walk over and check it out. Sure enough, line was peeling of the reel, and after about a 10 min fight i landed my PB flathead of 50lbs. |

Fishing the Ohio river about 20 miles below the Anthony Meldhal lock and dam, near a creek channel, water on the river was 45 degrees, water coming out of the creek was almost 48, set-up on a ledge where I had marked some nice fish, put baits out in the water turned around to sit down in my seat, when my son-in-law said "ROD DOWN" Blue had dropped the rod and was peeling line off the reel headed down river, great fight took me 15 min. to get him in the boat weighed on a BOC sponser Coffey scales at 37.3#, my son-in-law caught a 17 pound Blue just minutes after we netted this fish. |

I was out with BigCatSteve one night over the summer. The bite was good I landed a 9 pound flathead and Steve landed a 8 pound Blue. I tossed a bluegill head out on bottom. It took about a half hour for the Blue to hit, he fought well and was a pain to pick up. |

Hit the last spot of the day in a sopt that was 13 ft and dropped to about 28 feet. Put the shad fillet out in the current, and the rod DOUBLED over. Fought the fish for about 15 minutes, ended up with this nice blue. |

I fought this fish for an hour in heavy current on light tackle. We thought it was a flattie until it got close enough to the boat where we could see It. was released after photo's. |

The Channel catfish were really hitting good at this time. We had stable weather and the pre-spawn feeding frenzy was on. My son caught his personal best channel catfish the same day. |
